Hi, I'm Michael
I’m a visual journalist interested in how media, technology, and design intersect to tell meaningful stories about the human condition.
I’ve produced videos, curated playlists, and written profile pieces on Color & Rhyme—a music blog I started in 2016. I also cover independent Chicago hip-hop for Lyrical Lemonade.
I spent this past winter in Northwestern University’s Bay Area Immersion Program where I worked on service design with AirBnB and communication design with Meedan.
Currently, I'm working with my friend Madison on an interactive video installation that uses ultrasonic sensors and projection mapping to capture the feeling of being stuck in a state of transition.
In my free time, I like to make playlists for my friends, watch coming of age movies and sip tea 🍵.
Thanks for taking the time to view my portfolio. Feel free to check out my Instagram, or email if you’d like to get in touch.
